The hotel offers a mix of comfortable rooms and friendly staff, despite some areas needing updating. The location is considered perfect by many, though some aspects could benefit from refurbishment.

I felt like I was staying in a cell in a monastery with a very large Christmas party downstairs. It was a treat for 2 nights, but the room turned out very small, no bath as advertised, or sofa, just two chairs with a very low ceiling at points. The bed was not long enough for a 6 ft 4 man.

Wow, what a mixed experience! The hotel rooms are amazing, with gorgeous decoration, a very comfortable bed, and spacious cleanliness, but the view felt like a prison with only a sky light, though it was covered. The Christmas party season made it rather noisy, but the fantastic breakfast and perfect poached eggs made up for it. The service was a bit of a rollercoaster, with a taxi timing issue causing a headache, yet the staff were ultimately amazing, welcoming, and friendly. The location could use some sprucing up but is in a pretty area. The dining experience was excellent, with a good variety of dishes, though they could have been hotter. Overall, a memorable stay with ups and downs.
